OF THE PROPERTIES
Megalon products represent the latest generation of micromolecular additives intended for use in transport (automotive, railway, aviation and marine). The reduction of friction between metal parts is based on the microceramic sliding compound (MKG - MikroKeramisches Gleitcompound) and friction modifiers (5th generation), or modernized recipes of complex hydrocarbons and friction modifiers (4th generation) contained in MEGALON. These bond to the metal surface under pressure to form a new metal-organic layer. This "microlayer" is formed on loaded metal surfaces and acts as a protective "sliding shield", which is able to withstand point temperatures up to 1100 ° C, high pressures and loads and is highly stable. The formed layer is characterized by high surface smoothness and perfect slipperiness.
